“Excellent!” Design Start Day and other special events at RosBuild 2019

Training of young talented designers and architects was the theme of several events at RosBuild 2019, a new international construction trade show held at Expocentre.

Today, it was the venue of the "Excellent!" Design Start Day, an event within the "Excellent!" Youth Design Festival aimed to introduce the best graduate designers of the year to the professional community creating conditions for their development and attracting young talents.

Young designers are final-year students of environmental, interior, landscape and industrial design faculties of the Stroganov Moscow State University of Art and Industry, Kosygin Russian State University, Higher School of Economics, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow Polytechnic University, National Design Institute, and other specialised institutions presented their works for the title of The Best Graduate Designer 2019.

At RosBuild 2019, design works were also presented by children's architecture schools. The ceremony of awarding the best young authors has been held today, too.

At the exhibition closing day, experts' special attention and interest were aroused by South Korea's presentation on Seoul Redevelopment: Case Study of Large Urban Projects: 2004-2019 conducted by Jaewoo Lee, Principal of Global Architecture Network, during the aluminum forum at the exhibition.

According to him, in South Korea, aluminum is widely used for facades and glazing. Façade aluminum panels are light and bright, an excellent material for building exteriors. In his presentation, Jaewoo Lee mentioned many interesting aluminum-using projects.  "I understand that Russia is the leading world aluminum manufacturer, and I hope that during the Forum I will learn much about Russian aluminum products which I will be able to introduce to Korean building and construction industry", he said.
