The First Russian Construction Week at Expocentre evoked widespread response

08 / 04 / 2019

On 2-5 April, Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the first Russian Construction Week that brought together the new international exhibition for building and finishing materials and technologies RosBuild 2019, the 21st international exhibition for glass products, glass production and processing technologies and equipment Mir Stekla 2019, and congress events that covered the whole range of thematic areas  in the present-day construction industry. Below you will find the Construction Week participants' and visitors' comments.

Pavel Dorokhin, State Duma Deputy

"Successful RosBuild exhibition at Expocentre is evidence of the fact that business and international business community are no longer guided by the biased policy in respect of Russia pursued by some European and NATO countries and the US. In particular, many Italian companies, companies from Germany and the UK are represented here. This points to the fact that business people in the first place need the development of economic ties and support of their businesses. Expocentre is a major exhibition and business forum acting as a peace and goodwill ambassador in business."

Peter Mihok, President of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry

"Today, in Russia, I see that sanctions have triggered the development of domestic industrial production, especially small and medium businesses. Eventually, this creates new conditions for international cooperation, as new products require new technologies. Therefore, the Russian Construction Week project is very positive. Slovakia has been cooperating with Expocentre over a long period of time taking part in Expocentre exhibitions, and we see a continuous progress in their organisation."

Eduard Pozdnyakov, Director, Simplex Façade

"We decided to participate because Expocentre has a convenient location in Moscow and is visited by the people who are interested in our products. Our visitors were our target customers. Definitely, we will showcase our products here next year. For us, Expocentre is a reliable partner and our chance to find new clients. It is a club for like-minded people who see the development of their businesses with Expocentre's assistance."

Mikhail Sinitsin, General Director, Slaven

"We decided to take part in RosBuild last summer. Surely, we wanted to exhibit our products at the new construction trade show as a landmark event, which, on top of everything else, takes place in the year of the 60th anniversary of Expocentre. We thought that it would be interesting and would attract our buyers. Our clients include large wholesale chains and developers. That was our task during the four wonderful exhibition days. We achieved everything that we had expected from the exhibition and the Construction Week."

Robert Dadian, Process Engineer, UNI-WOOD, Kostroma region

"We represent wood processing in the Kostroma region. We were invited to participate in the exhibition by the Entrepreneurship Support Center and are very grateful for this opportunity to demonstrate our products at this high-profile trade show. We are looking for new customers and partners. We present unique wooden house building technologies and see a great interest in our products and services. We appreciate the location and equipment of our showcase, with all conditions available for a fair and efficient exhibition of our products. We are going to participate in RosBuild in the future, too. The Construction Week will help unite builders from different areas. The idea to hold it is very important and essential, considering competitive market conditions."

Aleksandr Sirotin, Main Specialist, KubanGidroizolyatsiya

"Our company is a Krasnodar-based manufacturer of insulation materials. The first day of our participation in RosBuild showed that we would get a great number of potential customers, as various categories of consumers, ranging from trading organisations to contractor organisations and owners of private business, interested in national high-quality waterproofing products.
This trade show is very well organised. We took part in different trade shows in Krasnodar, Rostov, Samara, and St. Petersburg, and I think that organisationally this trade show is one of the best. People come here to network, promote products and present the latest and cutting-edge inventions. I wish Expocentre many years of fruitful work and progress towards creating the best conditions for exhibitors and visitors."

Vasily Momotov, Director, Doma Veka

"We represent Kirov-based construction companies at the invitation of the Entrepreneurs Support Foundation. We showcase various constructional materials including the new product, dry rounded log produced using proprietary processes. This material may be used for turnkey construction projects. The new product finds ready market and generates visitors' interest. We prepare cost estimates for new customers. Our clients like our ecofriendly houses. RosBuild is very important for our industry. On the Internet, you can find information only, while during the exhibition we directly communicate with clients and are able to present our products in greater detail. We are pleased to take part in this trade show. Conditions here are very comfortable. We plan to take part next year, too."

Artem Akentiev, Director, Arkhangelskie Rublenie Doma

"Our regional government did us a service and helped exhibit our products at the Arkhangelsk region group stand. We represent wooden house building and want to work in the Moscow region. Nearly 80% of our visitors are from Moscow or Moscow region, and also from southern Russia. We expect new contracts and further development from the trade show."

Viktor Kuznetsov, General Director, ZAVDOZ Group

"We were invited to RosBuild by its organisers. Before that, we did not know about the trade show and, let have it straight, hesitated, because, as a rule, something new always means first of all investments and only later output. However, we liked RosBuild and were attracted by its international status. Furthermore, most construction industry exhibitions are a kind of get-together of professionals, and we are not interested in it, because we have a retail business. However, here, the proportion is about 50:50, that is, 50% are market actors and partners, and the other half is ultimate customers, which is critical for us. We like that RosBuild helps us establish close contacts with our buyers plus very comfortable conditions for communication. All in all, we are definitely satisfied and are going to participate in the next edition."
