Russian Construction Week 2021 has started at EXPOCENTRE

Today Russian Construction Week 2021 started at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds. The key event of the Week became the RosBuild 2021 exhibition, which brought together the leading manufacturers of construction, finishing materials and equipment of high quality, and introduced participants to innovative technologies in the construction industry.

The main objective of the event is to support the implementation of the national project "Housing and Urban Environment" and programmes aimed at increasing construction, landscaping and creating the modern infrastructure necessary for comfortable living.

Participants in the exhibition, representatives of manufacturing companies and trading companies and construction organisations, demonstrate innovative developments and advanced technologies in the production of building and finishing materials and structures, which will certainly help to bring products to new markets and establish contact between manufacturers, suppliers and consumers in the construction sector. For many construction companies, participation in Russian Construction Week is not only a way to gain a competitive edge, but also a prerequisite for maintaining their market position and further development.

At the official opening ceremony of Russian Construction Week 2021, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Irek Faizullin told that the Week presented many directions of activities. Firstly, it is the production of construction materials which is actively developing. The minister payed particular attention to the successful integrated development of territories represented at the exhibition by the Moscow construction sector. The minister recommended using the practice of Moscow in the regions.

The State Duma deputy Alexey Kanaev said that he was very pleased that the opportunity to discuss problems not online but face to face was returning. He is confident that the ideas that will be voiced at the exhibition will enable the construction industry to continue to develop dynamically.

Sergey Lyovkin, Head of the Moscow City Urban Planning Policy Department, notes that RosBuild 2021 and Russian Construction Week 2021 are a good place to exchange experience. A very important part of the Week is its programme of supporting events. He invited everyone to attend sessions of the Moscow Department related to large area transformation, new approaches to organising such areas, a healthy city and so on.

Efim Basin, Chairman of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on Entrepreneurship in the Construction Sector, also emphasised the importance of participation in the programme of supporting events.

Anna Sadovnichaya, Deputy Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, thanked the participants in the official opening and said that 137 companies from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia and Turkey were represented at the exhibition. They demonstrate the latest building materials and equipment, interesting technological developments in demand for construction, design and decoration of residential and office premises, industrial buildings and constructions. Five Russian regions are represented by group stands: the Vladimir, Voronezh, Omsk, Saratov and Tver regions.

Russian Construction Week 2021 runs till March 12.
