The main objective of the project is to support the implementation of state programmes and national projects, housing renovation programmes, the formation of a modern urban environment and the development of low-rise housing construction.

A key event of Russian Construction Week is the RosBuild 2022 International Exhibition for Building and Finishing Materials and Technologies. The project covers the main segments of the construction industry, helps saturate the market with high-quality building materials and promote the latest technologies in construction.

The week opened with a plenary session "Development of Housing Construction in the Russian Federation" with the participation of the heads of the Russian construction complex, industry associations and major construction companies. The session was moderated by Leonid Kazinets, President of the National Association of Home Builders, and Nikita Stasishin, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation.

Vladimir Padalko, Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on behalf of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and EXPOCENTRE AO, welcomed the participants, noting that Russian Construction Week had become the main forum for Russian urban planners.

Speaking online, Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, stressed the relevance and importance of the dialogue between the authorities and business on the development of the construction industry and, as a consequence, raising the living standards of the citizens. He was convinced that the construction industry must continue to create new things despite the difficulties of the current situation.

Nikita Stasishin, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities, spoke in detail about the situation in the industry, comparing the difference between the past crisis years and today's state of affairs. In today's situation, the issue is not the rate of project financing, but the possibility and necessity to issue loans. According to the deputy minister, this possibility exists.

Sergey Stepashin, Chairman of the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, drew attention to the importance of the topic of housing and communal services. You can build houses, but you cannot put them on an outdated, unmodernised housing and communal structure.

Sergey Pakhomov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction, Housing and Utilities, noted that for any country, the construction industry is one of the main economic drivers. The construction industry will have a difficult time now. The industry needs direct support. The government and the State Duma, united, will not allow the industry to be disrupted in terms of funding, the deputy assured.

Sergey Lyovkin, Head of the Moscow City Urban Planning Policy Department, spoke about the problems of the capital's urban development sector, separating the concepts of supporting the industry and its development.

Anton Glushkov, President of the National Builders' Association NOSTROI, said that the association accumulates proposals from its members and identifies the difficulties they face in order to take concrete steps to resolve them promptly.

The plenary session was followed by an awards ceremony for the country's best developers.
