Russian Construction Week 2021
On March 9–12, 2021, EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds hosts Russian Construction Week. Its key event is the RosBuild international exhibition, which brings together leading manufacturers of building and finishing materials and equipment, and showcases new technologies for the construction industry.
The main objective is to promote the implementation of the Housing and Urban Environment National Project and programmes related to increase in housing construction, urban land improvement, and creating modern comfortable infrastructure.

Event Programme
This year Russian Construction Week pays a lot of attention to construction of country houses. For instance, the Wood Housing Association with support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities organise the 13th International Congress on Wooden House Construction.
The congress participants will discuss a number of issues related to the government measures for the development of wooden housing construction in Russia and the synergy of a number of state programmes and strategies, wooden construction as a driver for the timber industry, increasing housing volumes with the help of wooden housing construction, the availability and cost of raw materials, mortgage products, land issues for individual housing construction and tourism facilities, infrastructure facilities for housing construction and urban areas, necessary measures for updating the regulatory framework for wooden construction, staff shortages in the construction industry, the most sought-after professions, promising technologies and architecture for modern construction with wooden structures and materials in Russia. Representatives of construction companies, design and architectural bureaus, manufacturers and suppliers of components for wooden housing construction will be able to find new clients in the sector of wooden construction among professional visitors, and to conclude new contracts for the supply of products.
For the first time, the show will feature a master class on facade and roof mounting, organised by Open Village. Its participants will be Grand Line, PAROC, Xella (Ytong), Arkom Pro, Baumit, Nadezhny Dom, and the Facade Union.
The Passive House Institute will present a unique opportunity during the show to learn about energy-efficient products and technologies as part of a single passive house concept.
The event programmeis united under the name of the Forum “Building the Future of Russia Together”.
The week’s programme will be open with the International Dialogue on the Big City is an Economic Hub. How Can Support for the Construction Industry Stimulate the City's Economic Activity? The event is organised by Moskomstroyinvest (the Moscow Committee for the Realisation of Construction Investment Projects and Co-Investment Agreements) and EXPOCENTRE AO.
The National Association of Builders (NOSTROY), the National Association of Home Builders, the Moscow City Urban Planning Policy Department, the Moscow Investors Club, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Moskomstroyinvest (the Moscow Committee for the Realisation of Construction Investment Projects and Co-Investment Agreements), the DOM.RF Fund, and EXPOCENTRE AO will hold a series of panels, conferences and workshops. Their participants will discuss quality of apartments in new buildings, redevelopment of territories, classification of apartment buildings, bonded loans of developers as a source of housing finance, and how to make a residential complex more attractive. Industry experts will talk about the new standard of urban environment quality in Russia, project financing of residential construction, development of rental housing market, and public procurement and pricing in construction.
Another important event will be an award ceremony for regional developers: the leaders in housing commissioning in 2020 and the winners of the Urban Development Contest "Top Residential Complexes 2021". The contest is organised by the National Association of Home Builders, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the National Association of Builders (NOSTROY), and EXPOCENTRE AO.
The Imperia congress and exhibition company and EXPOCENTRE AO organise events devoted to the issues of sales and distribution of building materials. The participants in the 2nd Russian Business Forum on Building and Finishing Materials 2021: Chain Retail, Markets, Developers will discuss a wide range of topics, including expert assessments of the impact of the crisis on construction and finishing materials market players in 2021, an overview of promising market areas and distribution channels for finished products, and a plan for successful work with DIY chains and developers. Industry professionals will hold talks with over 200 potential partners. The 2nd Russian Conference on E-Commerce at the Construction and Finishing Materials Market will be devoted to professional technologies of working with online channels, new methods for developing a DIY brand with minimal investment, promotion tools, and ways to win the competition for consumers even in the times of crisis.
The Moscow City Urban Planning Policy Department and EXPOCENTRE AO will hold the Foresight Session: Towards a Polycentric City. How Neighbourhood Development Responds to Residents' Demands for an Urban Environment, and the Discussion on Design and Construction Standards for Sustainable Cities.
One more important event is the Low House Conference 2021, organised by the Russian Union of Designers, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the National Association of Home Builders, the Moscow City Urban Planning Policy Department, and EXPOCENTRE AO. The conference will address the creation and development of conditions to stimulate low-rise development and individual housing construction. Leading architects and designers will present the most interesting projects. The best developments will no doubt be put into practice in the future. New technologies in housing construction will be discussed at a conference organised by the Russian Union of Designers.
A special attention will be paid to the industry’s digitalization, development of information systems, use of BIM in construction, digital systems in development, and smart home technology. These topics will be discussed during different panels organised by the Federal Centre for Regulation, Standardization and Technical Conformity Assessment in Construction, the National Association of Home Builders, the Moscow General Planning Research and Project Institute, DOM.RF AO, Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, the National Association of Builders (NOSTROY), and EXPOCENTRE.
