Russian Construction Week 2024 brought together two important trade shows: the 5th edition of the International Exhibition for Building and Finishing Materials and Technologies – RosBuild 2024, and 25th edition of the International Exhibition for Glass Products, Manufacturing, Processing and Finishing Technology – Mir Stekla 2024.
The synergy of projects from related industries allowed the professional audience to significantly expand opportunities for cooperation and networking between manufacturers, suppliers and consumers of construction and glass industry products.
The events of Russian Construction Week 2024 have shown growth in terms of space and number of participants.

The key event of Russian Construction Week 2024 was the Forum for Building the Future of Russia Together. Its participants discussed pressing issues of housing development in Russia in the current conditions, state support measures and digitalisation of the construction industry, infrastructure development of new territories, AI in development, green construction, and other important topics.
Russian Construction Week was supported by the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, professional unions and association.

76 events with 606 moderators, speakers and experts took place over the 4 days of Russian Construction Week.
One of the key events of Russian Construction Week 2024 was the 9th Russian Meeting on the Development of Housing Construction in the Russian Federation, held as part of the Building the Future of Russia Together Forum. Its participants were representatives of government and business.
The meeting was moderated by Leonid Kazinets, President at the National Association of Home Builders, Member of the Board Bureau, Chair at the Commission on Housing Policy of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and Honoured Builder of the Russian Federation.
Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia:
“Despite numerous external challenges, last year turned out to be the most successful in the history of the Russian construction industry in many respects. We have commissioned more than 110 million square metres of housing, improved the living conditions of more than 4 million families. We still have to create new quality infrastructure for our people to live, rest and work. Together we can improve the lives of the people and increase the contribution of the construction industry and the housing and utilities sector to the development of this country, but to achieve these goals we need everyone to be involved. Events such as Russian Construction Week are one of the ways to share experience and encourage a professional dialogue.”
The participants pointed out that the construction industry was one of the key sectors and a driver in the development of this country's economy. They paid much attention to support measures aimed at increasing construction rates, and also discussed another important topic for the participants which is the rehousing of people who live in dilapidated properties. Most of the industry representatives are involved in this today.

The first Russian offline show battle of new buildings between the finalists of the main nomination of TOP Residential Complex 2024 took place on February 27. Each finalist offered a show-presentation of a residential complex using artistic techniques, light, sound and music effects with modern animation.
An award ceremony of the Top Residential Complex Contest 2024 was held as part of the plenary session. This year, 1.4 thousand nominated residential complexes took part in the Top Residential Complex Contest.
Developers and representatives of regional and local authorities who directly prepared and implemented projects of integrated territorial development that are now at least in construction stage, made reports during a panel devoted to the best practices of the integrated territorial development on the initiative of a right holder. The event was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO, the National Association of Home Builders and ERZ.RF.
EXPOCENTRE AO, ERZ.RF and the Development School organised a panel on masterplanning of residential complexes: a complex balance of interests, which attracted a lot of attention from the audience.
On the same day, there were panels devoted to the parking space in residential complexes, disputes about the quality of flats in new buildings, and development companies of the future.
Another important event was the three-day 6th Conference on Digitalisation in Housing Development. It was organised by ERZ.RF and EXPOCENTRE AO.
On 27 February, the session presented advanced IT solutions and practical experience of developers in digitalisation of operation stages.
On 28 February, the participants shared IT solutions for visualisation, competitive environment analytics, dynamic pricing, mobile applications for buyers, electronic interaction with realtors, banks and Rosreestr at the sales stage. There was a presentation of Artificial Intelligence as a tool for developer-buyer communication, as well as developers' experience in working with AI and new developments of IT companies.
On 29 February, the experience of solving problems on the design stage and the most advanced IT solutions for digitalisation of the construction stage were the main topics of the day.
Industry experts shared their experience and vision of modern housing construction with the professional audience during different panels.
There were panels on the topics of panel and modular housing construction (broadcast), teamwork in development (broadcast), how can a developer make money from pedestrians and pedestrian streets (broadcast), an opportunity for a developer to make money from art (broadcast), safety and security of living in residential complexes, lighting in a modern residential complex, combating counterfeiting of building materials and products, and others.
Speakers talked about financing mechanisms for infrastructure creation, landscape gardening and design, commercial property and street retail in a residential complex, infrastructure for families with children, water bodies (fountains, artificial ponds and waterfalls) as points of attraction, the best practices of the integrated territorial development on the initiative of the authorities, monolithic house building, a culture of recreation as part of residential facilities, energy efficient technologies in construction, modern flat layouts and birth rate in Russia, and other topics
EXPOCENTRE AO, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the National Association of Home Builders and ERZ.RF held the foresight session on balancing the interests of residents and individual owners in the implementation of integrated territorial development projects.
During the event, developers formulated their proposals to improve the regulation of relations in the sphere of real estate seizure in the course of the implementation of integrated territorial development projects, including such issues as types of real estate subject to seizure, proper seizure procedures, management of seized buildings prior to demolition, and registration actions within the seizure procedure. Experts from the authorities and academic community evaluated the developers' proposals.
The Business Forum on the Role of Logistics in the Modern Construction Business was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and Novelco.
Intercultural communication and logistics experts from leading companies and many other industry representatives talked about the main changes in logistics for the construction industry, considered the most efficient international delivery routes, and learnt about ways to minimise the cost of warehousing construction materials. They spoke about the search for highly qualified professionals and the specifics of cargo insurance in today's realities.
One more important event of Russian Construction Week 2024 was the 7th Conference on Low House Russia 2024. It was organised by the Russian Union of Designers, the National Association of Construction Industry Participants (NOSI), and EXPOCENTRE AO.
The conference agenda included discussion of various aspects of low-rise construction such as architecture, construction technologies, issues of common property management of low-rise residential complexes, and much more.
Its participants were Viktor Novoselov, President at the Russian Union of Designers, Aleskandr Loshchenko, President at the National Association of Construction Industry Participants, President at the Union of Construction Industry Enterprises, Efim Basin, Chair at the Committee on Entrepreneurship in the Construction Sector of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Elena Nikolaeva, Chair at the Commission on Urban Planning, State Property and Land Use of the Moscow City Duma, President at NAMIKS, and others.
A lot of attention was drawn to the Foresight Session on Scenarios of Concessional Mortgages After 1 July. Demand and Supply Trends, which was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the National Association of Home Builders and ERZ.RF.
Developers predicted what will happen after 1 July and made a consolidated forecast. They spoke about the current state of affairs in the primary housing market, and formulated each of their scenarios of preferential mortgages after 1 July 2024 such as types of programmes, rates, PI, an amount limit, and a new term of the programme.
Russian Construction Week 2024 and RosBuild 2024 hosted conferences on management of apartment buildings (broadcast), AI in development (broadcast), the brand and reputation of a property developer, managing the customer loyalty index (broadcast), engineering services for apartment buildings and flats (broadcast), public spaces of apartment buildings outside entrance groups, preservation of cultural heritage and archaeological objects during the construction of residential complexes, brick construction of apartment buildings (broadcast), green construction of apartment buildings (broadcast), choosing a lift in the conditions of sanctions: comfort and design of lifts (broadcast), turnkey flats: design, construction, sales, and other topics.
The participants of the Panel Discussion on How to Make a City Better. Open Dialogue: Government – Developer discussed how to join forces to make cities better and people's lives happier.
The Session on Entrances and Entrance Groups: 10 Rules of a Modern Residential Complex in 2024 was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO, ERZ.RF and the Development School. The speakers shared their experience in finishing and decorating entrances and entrance groups of residential complexes, and gave a number of practical tips, illustrating them with their own practical experience.
The experts also discussed lighting and navigation in the entrances and entrance groups of residential complexes, touched upon the topic of public spaces in the entrance groups of apartment buildings, such as the lobby, mailbox area, etc., and also spoke about the special infrastructure designed for pet owners.
A joint meeting of the Public Council Commission on Education and HR Potential in the Construction, Housing and Utilities Sector, the Committee on Entrepreneurship in the Construction Sector of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Committee of the Builders of Russia Union for the Development of Vocational Education and Employment Promotion in the Construction Industry was devoted to the topic how personnel make all the difference. The event was moderated by Efim Basin, Chair at the Committee on Entrepreneurship in the Construction Sector of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
There was also a panel where leading architects and developers of this country presented their views on what new apartment buildings will look like in 10-20 years.
